Augmented Reality

SmartCrowd can connect to a Hololens device to create simulations and view them in Augmented Reality. Connecting to Hololens requires the PeakHour Crowd app, which is available for free on the Microsoft Store.

The steps to connect a Hololens device are as follows:

1. Download the PeakHour Crowd app onto you Hololens device.

2. Open the SmartCrowd software on a computer and go to Tools > Connect To Hololens. This will display a message at the top of the screen with your computer's port ID. For example: "Listening on 10.37.533.286".

3. Open the PeakHour Crowd app on your Hololens device. This will display 3 floating menus.

4. In the menu titled Connect to a Running PeakHour Crowd, you will see a field with a port number in it. Click on the field and replace the port number with the one displayed on your computer. Then click connect.

Now the Hololens device is connected to the SmartCrowd software. Models can be created and simulations run entirely from within Augmented Reality. Models created on the connected computer will also be visible in Augmented Reality.
