On the left sidebar, the Stairs tab allows you to make different types of inter-level connections. With each type, there is a gate on the lower level, and a gate on the upper level, these gates must connect into rooms on their level to correctly be part of the environment. Stairs includes a few definitions:

  • Slope: This is the fraction that defines the gradient of the staircase, eg 0.5 means 2m length and 1m height.
  • Length: In metres, see red lines in photo.
  • Width: In metres, see blue lines in photo.
  • Landing: Defines how wide the landing is for the half-landing type. See green line in photo.
  • Escalators: These are separate to stairs, and have a fixed length and speed.

If you click on the staircase, you are able to fix the speed (in m/s) for specific staircases.
